Blue Angels Air Show

Our boys love cars, trucks, trains and planes so of course we had to go check out the Blue Angels at the air show this weekend. Tate had been asking all week when we were going to see the Blue Angels after I showed him a picture of them in the paper a few days ago. It was a hot day, but still really fun. The planes were loud and let out a lot of smoke, which was quite a highlight! We were also able to walk around and see airplanes, helicopters, and a tank. What more could two little boys ask for?!

Water Play Day

It seems as though we are spending a lot of our time this summer in bathing suits, of course I am not complaining! Yesterday we had a water play day for the younger kids at church. Tate had a blast going down the water slide and slip-and-slide. Fortunately Miller was able to play inside in the nursery since he had gotten too much sun on Tuesday at the pool (thanks to me forgetting to put sunscreen on his face-yikes!:)

Beach Weekend

My sister called me last Friday to see if I wanted to make a quick trip to the beach. Travis was out of town, Katherine and I were both between VBS weeks (hers and mine), and the weather was supposed to beautiful...so of course I said, "Yes!" We piled everyone in her van, except for Micheal and Mike who were busy with All-Stars baseball, and headed to Seagrove Beach. We had a great time and realized that this was the first time that she and I had taken the kids to the beach by ourselves. We had a blast, the water was warm and the skies were blue. It turned out to be a great spur-of-the-moment trip. Who knows...maybe we will do it again!
