Blue Angels Air Show
Our boys love cars, trucks, trains and planes so of course we had to go check out the Blue Angels at the air show this weekend. Tate had been asking all week when we were going to see the Blue Angels after I showed him a picture of them in the paper a few days ago. It was a hot day, but still really fun. The planes were loud and let out a lot of smoke, which was quite a highlight! We were also able to walk around and see airplanes, helicopters, and a tank. What more could two little boys ask for?!

Water Play Day
It seems as though we are spending a lot of our time this summer in bathing suits, of course I am not complaining! Yesterday we had a water play day for the younger kids at church. Tate had a blast going down the water slide and slip-and-slide. Fortunately Miller was able to play inside in the nursery since he had gotten too much sun on Tuesday at the pool (thanks to me forgetting to put sunscreen on his face-yikes!:)

Beach Weekend
My sister called me last Friday to see if I wanted to make a quick trip to the beach. Travis was out of town, Katherine and I were both between VBS weeks (hers and mine), and the weather was supposed to beautiful...so of course I said, "Yes!" We piled everyone in her van, except for Micheal and Mike who were busy with All-Stars baseball, and headed to Seagrove Beach. We had a great time and realized that this was the first time that she and I had taken the kids to the beach by ourselves. We had a blast, the water was warm and the skies were blue. It turned out to be a great spur-of-the-moment trip. Who knows...maybe we will do it again!

Memorial Day at the Lake
We had a great Memorial Day weekend at my sister's lake house. My dad also flew up from Orlando to join us. We had beautiful weather although the water was still a little cold. The boys loved the boat rides and Tate took his first ride on a jet ski. But, I have to say they also spent a lot of time inside playing. With my sister's four children it is always fun to see who will match up to play together and it always seems to change. We are always thankful for our time together!

My dad took Allison and I on a wild tube ride...so much so that my arms and shoulders are still sore!

We also celebrated my 32nd birthday

Last Day of School
Yesterday was the last day of school before summer for the boys so they had a cookout at their school to celebrate. We are looking forward to a very fun summer!
Tate and his teacher Ms. Denise

One of Tate's favorite friends, Ellie Kate...he says he likes her because she is "always nice." Not a bad trait to look for in a friend!

Another new baby!
My friend Kristie had her baby last night and we were all there to cheer her on (not during delivery of course:) Her little girl, Callie Grace, was born at 10:13 last night and is so beautiful. Oh, and we have a new niece as of last Tuesday. Mary Grace's daughter, Sadie Jane, was born May 13th (her G-Ma's birthday) I am glad to know we have some girls around to offset all of these wild boys!:)

Boys in the Hood
We have a blast everyday with the other children in our neighborhood. We are lucky to have 4 boys, two sets of brothers, within walking and, perhaps more importantly, bike-riding distance from our house who we play with almost every afternoon. Today one of the girls in the neighborhood had her 4th birthday party and I got a quick picture of the boys all together (minus Miller and the other younger one, Jack). We hope to be showing this picture to them when they are all still friends in high school:)
