Miller's Third Birthday
We had a great celebration on Saturday for Miller turning three. I had prayed all week that the weather would be nice enough to have the party outside. Miller was insistent that we have the party at home, and I was just hoping that we wouldn't have 10 kids INSIDE the house. So, we had beautiful weather and also at Miller's request all of his friends wore costumes. Need a I say again how much this boy loves dress-up? We had a fun party and it is unbelievably hard to believe 3 years have gone by!

Valentines Weekend
Travis was traveling for work this weekend so I decided to take the boys to Birmingham on Saturday. We went to the McWane Center and saw all of the cool dinosaurs and fish, and the kids even did a weather report. It was a fun way to spend the day rather than be at home alone on Valentine's Day.

And, Friday night we were at a friends house celebrating a couple of February birthdays. Tate put his arm around Miller while they sang Happy Birthday. My friend Katie had her camera and couldn't resist capturing the moment. Also, all of the kids sat together to watch a movie, it was pretty cute!

Double Date
We spent a lot of time outside this weekend enjoying the unseasonably warm weather. Our next door neighbor, Kate, had her friend Winnie over to play who is also in Tate's class at school. So, the boys wanted to show off their wheels and the girls were happy to be their passengers. Miller has quite a crush on Winnie, she always says hello to him at school and he is very smitten by this older woman's attention. I know how soon it will be that they will both be driving real cars and going out on real dates. But, for now, these moments make for pretty cute pictures:)

Basketball Game
Yesterday we went to Birmingham to the Samford basketball game to celebrate my nephew's seventh birthday. Miller kept telling us that HE was going to play in the game and was somewhat disappointed once he realized wasn't. As always, it was fun for us to be back on campus and as an added bonus, Travis was able to catch up with some of his old baseball teammates.
Miller taking it all in...
Also, as I have mentioned before, the boys love costumes. On Saturday morning before we left, this was what they were decked out in:)

Our newest photographer
Tate got a new digital kids camera for Christmas and has had a lot of fun taking pictures of the family. It has a few neat applications, like making people look like pirates and other characters. Here are a few of his latest creations...

Aunt Gracie will be especially proud of this one...
Travis thinks this is a great interpretation by Tate of my after-Christmas attitude.

Christmas!
We had a wonderful Christmas Eve and morning at home and then traveled to Birmingham and Hamilton to see our families. We went to the candlelight service at church Christmas Eve and then the boys went to bed early in anticipation of Santa's arrival. Tate prayed that night that Jesus would have a good birthday the next day. The boys had a great time in the morning playing will all their new loot. At lunchtime we headed to Birmingham to celebrate with the cousins and Grandma, then on to Hamilton to see G-Ma and Pop. Travis' sister and brother-in-law joined us there with the rest of the boys' cousins. It was a gift, food and family overload and we loved every minute of it!

Holiday Festivities
We have had a whirlwind of activities going on since Thanksgiving. Tate and his class went caroling at a nursing home and had pajama day at school. Miller also had a Christmas party in his class. Then we took the boys to Botanical Gardens to check out their Christmas lights. Now we are ready to slow down, spend time with our families and celebrate Jesus' birth.
