Another new baby!
My friend Kristie had her baby last night and we were all there to cheer her on (not during delivery of course:) Her little girl, Callie Grace, was born at 10:13 last night and is so beautiful. Oh, and we have a new niece as of last Tuesday. Mary Grace's daughter, Sadie Jane, was born May 13th (her G-Ma's birthday) I am glad to know we have some girls around to offset all of these wild boys!:)

Boys in the Hood
We have a blast everyday with the other children in our neighborhood. We are lucky to have 4 boys, two sets of brothers, within walking and, perhaps more importantly, bike-riding distance from our house who we play with almost every afternoon. Today one of the girls in the neighborhood had her 4th birthday party and I got a quick picture of the boys all together (minus Miller and the other younger one, Jack). We hope to be showing this picture to them when they are all still friends in high school:)

Happy Mother's Day!
Yesterday we had a wonderful visit with the Alstons for Mother's Day. Today they are en route to Tuscaloosa to be with Mary Grace's family before she is induced on Tuesday. The boys are always excited to see their G-Ma and Pop, and G-Ma gave me a quick lesson in gardening. We planted two pots for my side porch. I didn't know I was learning from such a pro...she was just named the garden club president in Columbus:) I hope to have many more lessons! Here is our finished product.

We also had an early birthday celebration for G-Ma.

Our Newest Friend
Yesterday afternoon Tate and Miller were both able to hold Keller, the new baby brother of Ayers and Addie Grace. They were very gentle while holding him and MIller told me that the baby was, "very sleepy." Jeanette was quick to ask Tate if he wanted a new baby too, and of course his answer was yes. It seems that everyone is campaigning these days for another Alston baby:)

Doesn't it look like Keller is smiling?

Thomas Comes to Chattanooga
This afternoon we went over to Chattanooga to see and RIDE Thomas the Train. It was a rainy day, but really fun all the same. The boys were VERY excited and seeing Thomas in person seemed to be all they had hoped it would be, it was a family fun day!

Tate even met Sir Topham Hatt (he looks kind of creepy to me, but obviously Tate didn't think so:)

Tree Climbing
Yesterday afternoon Tate learned a valuable lesson of childhood...how to climb a tree. It took him a couple of tries to determine he could actually do it. Not a bad way to learn to not become discouraged, but to keep trying. Now if he disappears while we are playing in the backyard, we know he is in his new favorite tree.:)
