Girls Weekend

I had a fabulous long weekend in Sandestin with two of my college friends, Melissa and Amy. Lis flew down from Jersey, Amy crossed the bridge from Niceville and we stayed in Amy's family's condo at the beach. We had great weather and enjoyed relaxing while all of the children (5 between us) were in their daddies' care. We laughed a lot and relished the freedom of not having to stick to the schedules of little ones. We were able to sleep in and eat dinner at 9 pm. But as always, I was happy to be reunited with my family on Sunday!

Celebrating the 4th in Denver

Travis and I got back today from visiting my favorite brother and his wife, Ashley, in Denver. We jam packed lots of fun into 4 days. We visited Mt. Evans (elevation 14,000+ ft), Boulder, Red Rocks Amphitheatre, Cherry Creeks Art Festival, and went to a Rockies game. This was my first trip to Denver and loved seeing the beautiful landscape, wild animals, and of course a fair share of dreadlocks:). We did a lot of laughing too. Travis and Alex share the same sense of humor which often left Ashley and I just rolling our eyes. Hopefully it won't be so long until we see them again!

Tate and Miller were able to spend special time with Grandma while we were away.

More Lake Fun

We were at Katherine's lake house this past weekend with the fam and my mom who flew up for her summertime visit. Once again we had great weather and the water was finally nice and warm. The boys enjoyed themselves much more this go round (there was significantly less crying than last time:). They both swam in the lake and Tate took a handful of rides on the jet ski. I even got some skiing in myself:)
